pi:Lab was founded in April 2017 with the intent to develop a platform for learning, experimenting and creativity while hosting a space conducive to research, invention and fabrication of innovation prototypes. It is an open Laboratory, part of an open knowledge and skills sharing network accessible to anyone interested in learning and using new manufacturing technologies. The company operates mainly in the field of research and rapid prototyping in areas such as engineering, technology, manufacturing, materials and construction technology. The lab strives to cover a wide range of research from the theoretical approach and design to the investigation of automated digital manufacturing techniques and processes for the production of prototypes and even the mass production of small objects. The main goal of the company is to be an active node of the FabLabs network (Digital Fabrication Laboratories).
Our goal is to provide anyone interested, from an amateur to a professional or company, with access to tools, machines and knowledge to implement their ideas. This is an open Laboratory accessible to anyone interested in learning and using new manufacturing technologies (digital fabrication technologies). The laboratory also offers its services to research teams, bodies that deal with a wide range of research issues and are interested in the three-dimensional visualization or fabrication of the object of their research. These services can cover issues from the production of mechanical components, the construction of industrial design objects, or the construction of models of urban landscaping and city planning.
